What has changed with the release of ActivityHub 7?

The NEXMachine team has completely re-engineered the platform used to manage all of your accounts with the release of ActivityHub 7. Now, when you sign up for an ActivityHub account, you’ll initially sign into available services like Google, Salesforce, or others. Later, you can add additional logins. Here are some other key changes:

  • Salesforce accounts are no longer required, you can sign up with any service
  • Salesforce contacts can now be automatically matched with non-Salesforce invitees
  • Ability to invite Google and Office 365 contacts to events
  • New look on iPad
  • New settings and customizations
  • All your accounts and preferences automatically sync between devices
Why was this change made to ActivityHub?

Our mission is to transform how people manage their day using ActivityHub.  This change opens up a tremendous number of possibilities for additional applications to integrate with and allow people to connect with one another.  In addition, this change significantly improves the user experience by remembering the accounts you setup as well as making sure that you have a similar experience across all of your devices, including iPhone, iPad, Android devices and, very soon, the browser on your computer.

Why do I need to create a user account in ActivityHub?

Creating an ActivityHub account makes it possible for us to tie together all your accounts (such as Salesforce, Google, Office 365, etc.).

This allows you to sign in with one set of credentials from any device on any platform and see all your settings and accounts automatically appear.

What will happen when I update to ActivityHub 7?

When you first open ActivityHub 7, you’ll be signed out of your existing accounts. This is necessary to update all the data behind-the-scenes within the app. The next step is for you to register for an ActivityHub account by tapping “Sign Up” and going through the simple process of authenticating using a service of your choice (Google, for example). Once you’ve created your account, you can add more accounts, update any settings, and be good to go!

Why do I need to be logged out of ActivityHub when the app is updated to ActivityHub 7?

Unfortunately, since much of ActivityHub was re-engineered to provide you with new features, the app will log you out the first time you update to ActivityHub 7. This will not affect any of your data in your linked accounts, it will simply remove them from the app. Immediately after this happens, you’ll be able to add your accounts again and use the new ActivityHub experience.

What if I use more than one device for ActivityHub?

No problem. ActivityHub automatically syncs your accounts and settings between your devices. For example, if you add an account on your Android phone, it’ll automatically appear on your iPad. Same goes for deleting accounts. And changing settings. And updating filters. It’s great!

What about support for Android?

ActivityHub now supports Android in addition to iOS! You can sign in on your Android device using the same ActivityHub credentials you’re using on your iOS device, and all your information, accounts, and settings will be there waiting for you.
